This two-day course will give people an understanding of dealing effectively with various emergencies in an early years setting, with those passing receiving a Paediatric First Aid qualification. Similar to our Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, this can be tailored to suit your company’s needs with full-day courses and multi-day courses across 2-hour stints (including Twilight, Morning, or Afternoon sessions). This is suitable for people aged 16+ who need to be qualified as they care for babies and children in a professional setting.

What you will cover:

• Identifying the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider,
• Conducting a scene and casualty survey on an infant or child,
• Knowing when and how to carry out CPR on an infant or child,
• Identifying and helping an infant or child who is choking,
• Administering first aid on an infant or child with external bleeding,
• Treating other injuries and illnesses in an infant or child, such as, bites, stings, shock, bumps and bruises, and nose bleeds.
