Have you got a little time to spare and are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in your community? Are you passionate about helping others through finding them work or gaining new qualifications. Perhaps you are also interested in helping people to combat social isolation and loneliness? Then Look no further, we can help you to help others! Apply to join us as a Trustee at your local community development charity, Thanet Trust, where you can play a vital role in transforming lives and fostering positive change. The work is voluntary but all reasonable expenses are paid. Thanet Trust has been helping local people for almost 25 years and our sister charity, Kent Enterprise Trust, for almost 40. We are non-statutory and receive no public funding, we exist only to support the people of Thanet and East Kent.

Everything we do is completely free to the user.


? Your Role as a Trustee:


As a Trustee, you will attend four formal meeting a year, at which you will have the opportunity to:


1️⃣ Drive Change: Contribute to the development of our charity's strategic plans, ensuring that our services effectively meet the evolving needs of our community.


2️⃣ Guide and Inspire: Offer your expertise and insights to support our dedicated staff, enabling them to deliver high-quality programs and initiatives that make a lasting impact.


3️⃣ Network and Collaborate: Engage with local businesses, organisations, and stakeholders to forge meaningful partnerships, enhance our reach, and secure additional resources for our charity's activities.


4️⃣ Champion our Cause: Act as an ambassador for our charity, raising awareness about our mission, and advocating for the importance of upskilling, reducing loneliness, and supporting employment opportunities.
