| We are a charity based around the Thanet towns of Margate and Ramsgate whose aim is to develop and improve the area for everyone. This is done mainly through developing the local communities, however they are defined, but where possible focusing the help on those who are in some way disadvantaged. |

Thanet Community Development Trust, and the organisations which flow from it, is socially based and not-for-profit - any income will be reinvested in the community. Its central aim is to develop and improve the communities in Thanet, however defined. Priority will be given to people and areas identified as somehow disadvantaged.

Help was always there if needed both during the course and after. With around 99% of students passing the H&S test first time the statistics speak for themselves. The café, which is in King Street in Ramsgate, is called "The Kitchen" and is now open! The aims of the cafe will be to serve fun, healthy food in a quirky environment, whilst providing training opportunities for people from the local community. We have already been approached by lots of community groups to run activities there - everything from some cool music jamming to knitting and bakery lessons for kids! The cafe already hosts a great weekly session with Skillnet and we are keen to work with other community groups.
We are passionate about creating opportunities in so-called deprived areas and making that difference to people's lives.. So come on down and try our tasty fresh cakes and sandwiches, we look forward to seeing you!
