We are a charity based around the Thanet towns of Margate and Ramsgate whose aim is to develop and improve the area for everyone. This is done mainly through developing the local communities, however they are defined, but where possible focussing the help on those who are in some way disadvantaged.

TCDT is managed by a Trust Board of up to 12 volunteers and is entirely independent. Its income comes from its social enterprises, its asset base and grants.

Thanet Community Development Trust has training facilities and meeting rooms at the Academy in Cliftonville and at the Hereson Family and Community Centre in Ramsgate. The Centres have been designed to create a pleasant working atmosphere in which to work or learn.
