Consultant Services

Thanet Community Development Trust (TCDT) is a Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee based in Thanet. Its primary purpose is to develop and support economic, social and environmental regeneration within the district.

This work is achieved by working with local communities (however defined), statutory and public bodies, the private sector and concerned and interested individuals. It usually focuses its work on identified areas of deprivation and disadvantaged communities.
TCDT is managed by Trustees and operates as an entirely independent entity (it does not currently receive any grants for its own core funding). It derives all its income from social enterprises and management fees. It is recognised as a leader in the field of community development work and for its work in creating and managing successful and sustainable social enterprises.
TCDT works with community groups, helping and supporting them to turn ideas into funded and sustainable projects. It also provides advice and training from bid writing, finance and other management skills to event organisation and meetings procedures.

Payroll 7% of payroll for 1 – 10 employees, 5% of payroll for 11-25 employees, 3% for over 25 employees
Human Resources £75 per annum
Recruitment £200 per job application
Marketing From £15 (e.g. for a press release or draft leaflet)
Project Visit From £20 per hour
Venue Hire From £20 (for meetings up to 10 delegates for 2 hour meetings)
Equipment Hire From £10 per item
Team Building Dependent upon activities chosen
Admin Support £20 per hour

We will provide a Business Plan that will include:

  • Information on your organisation
  • Your aims and goals
  • An outline of your current services and clients
  • Investigate potential future services
  • A risk analysis
  • Future plans which include milestones and a time scale
  • Implementation
  • Financial information to support aims

Feasibility Study

This will include:

  • An assessment of current operations
  • Possible development opportunities
  • A financial projection for each option offered
  • An assessment of the impact of each main option on your organisation’s structure and products
  • A final report including recommendations

Strategic Review

This will include:

  • Interviews with staff, trustees and/or committee members, volunteers
  • Review of current status
  • Strategic review day
  • A final report containing options, recommendations and cost implications

Payroll

We will provide a payroll service to do your payroll for you on an annual basis.

Human Resources

We can offer you a comprehensive personnel service which will include all the necessary information regarding Policies and Procedures which will ensure your business meets all the obligatory legal requirements.

Recruitment

We can provide a full recruitment service, including advertising, sifting and short-listing, arranging the interviews and even sitting on the panel, and sending out all correspondence.

Marketing

We will offer assistance with press releases, media contact and promotional materials.

Project Visits

If you need advice with any finance issues, writing bids, information systems etc, we can provide the support you may need.

Stuck for a venue? We can help – we will arrange all your meeting venues for you throughout the year.

We will arrange a team building event for your staff, offering you a choice of activities.

Office Support

If your administrator is on leave or off sick and you need some help with getting documents typed and sent out, we can come to the rescue providing secretarial support for one-off projects.
